How to Throw the Perfect Brunch
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but brunch is the nicest! My favourite parties are brunch parties. Not only are they earlier in the day, they involve a lot of fresh foods, pretty dresses, and bright decorations. Brunches are great party ideas for adults that are looking to catch up with friends, eat yummy food and drink mimosas! Check out the list below of how to throw the perfect brunch party.
- Put the Dress Code on the Invitation 👗
There is nothing worse than planning a beautiful party and having your guests show up in jeans and thongs. Not only do they feel uncomfortable with being underdressed, you feel overdressed! The best thing to do is specify on the invitation what the dress code is. My daughter is throwing a brunch for her 20th birthday and specified a smart casual dress code. However, if you want a more casual brunch that works too!
- Have a Variety of Drinks 🍹
Don’t get me wrong, alcohol is great at parties. However, it is best to respect the fact that your guests may not want to drink so early in the morning. Have range of different breakfast drinks and always have a water option!
- Have a Variety of Food 🧇
Similar to the previous tip, sweet foods can be great for breakfast but are not everyone’s favourite. Have both sweet and savoury options available. Also have a range of fruits and healthy options for dieting guests. Also, make sure to ask guests beforehand if they are vegan or gluten-free. There is nothing worse than finding out your friend is gluten-free on the day of the party!
- Use a Bright Colour Scheme 🌈
Brunches are great because they are set mid-morning. Have bright and pastel colours at your party to match the morning mood. It would be awesome to have a photo-wall with these bright colours too. Encourage guests to wear colours to the party and get heaps of photos!
- Venue Choice 🌲
Brunches can be really fun outside. The trees and the fresh air make the party seem even more lively. However, on a rainy day having your brunch set outside can be miserable! An indoor location means that you can adjust the lighting and temperature. Plus, you don’t have to worry about the weather. Make sure to consider the positives and negatives when choosing your venue.
